Day 6

Yesterday we went 3-1 for a gain of +1.64 units. That puts us at the year up 9.83 units and a record of 33 W’s and 18 L’s.

Key Takeaways from Day 5:

Sabres put up eight goals. They arrived, they are still not good but they did arrive. That is what we were hoping for, lets see if they get it moving a bit. Going to be good lines on the Sabres now.

Red Wings…. Folks we have a playoff team. Now the Panthers were busted up, but getting six points early in the season is very strong. For non puck knowers (Zupa,) there is a saying. The playoff teams don’t move that much post American Thanksgiving. So lets see if we can stay hot until then. Keep betting them. Their Defense is strong, their Offense is hot with multiple players (shoutout Mason Appleton.) They look good, LGRW.

Little Bedzy’s Blackhawks are playing well. I said it, now I will move on. (They are still absolute trash but shoutout to them for winning a couple.)

Today’s best bets:

Eleven Games Tonight:

New York @ Toronto:

New York is the least exciting team in the NHL. Yes, Chicago is more exciting. Toronto, disappointing start but their team is a contender. Take em at home. Honestly, pretty good line at -135.

The Pick: Toronto -135

Nashville @ Montreal:

I think Vegas is looking at Nashville’s 2-1 record too much. Montreal at -145 is a steal. Take them.

The Pick: Montreal -145

Seattle @ Ottawa:

Man, Ottawa looks horrible this year so far. Losing Brady Tkachuk hurts bad, but they just seem, terrible? This won’t last. But after a beating in Buffalo on a back to back, I am going to bet against them one more time.

The Pick: Seattle +130

Florida @ New Jersey:

If you go back to my first or second blog about this NHL Season, I said to bet against Florida. They are banged up. Bob played last night, so you expect to see the back up Goalie. Back up, on a back to back, on the road, to a strong Devils squad. This is easy.

The Pick: New Jersey – 155

Winnipeg @ Philly

I stared for a long time at this. I really like Winnipeg, but something about the Flyers at home is getting me going. Philly has played only Stanley Cup Contenders in the Panthers in Hurricanes. I get Florida is banged up, but the Flyers played them close once and beat them at home 5-2. I like the Flyers enough to wager on them tonight.

The Pick: Flyers +115

Colorado @ Columbus:

I want madness tonight. I hope I get it. Colorado is a wagon, but I like the Jackets this year. At home at +140 seems insane.

The Pick: Columbus +140

Edmonton @ New York Islanders:

Isles are must watch tv. Their defenseman Matthew Schaefer is awesome. If you don’t know much about him, he is their first rounder who is 18 years old. Kid can skate, has a little bite to him, and at 18 its insane to see what he is doing to NHL’rs. However….. they aren’t ripe to take out the Oil yet.

The Pick: Edmonton -165 (I just wouldn’t actually bet it for the price FYSA.)

Vancouver @ Dallas:

Vancouver is trash, take Dallas. Dallas’ D is nasty. Ill keep betting on their defense.

The Pick: Dallas -175

Boston @ Vegas:

Boston at 3-1 is surprising. But they are walking into a buzz saw. There is no value to actually betting this game, but VGK should mollywop them

The Pick: VGK -225

Carolina @ Anaheim:

An early west coast trip for the Canes. What a spot for the Ducks here to get one and sneak to 3-1. Ill take the Ducks due to the Canes being on PST, but the rest of Cali’s trip we will hammer the Canes a lot.

The Pick: Anaheim +160

Pittsburgh @ Los Angeles:

If you don’t make your money in the first 10 games, see if Pitt scores one early and hammer the Kings. Pitt doesn’t deserve any attention. They are bad. Good for them starting 2-2. It won’t last.

The Pick: Kings -200

Everyone enjoy. Lets go 9-11 and get up past 10 units.

-Lon
